How important is good sex in a relationship?

I'm 28 and have been dating a guy for over a year now. Initially, the sex was great, but now it's really faded out on my part -- I'm just not really interested in having sex anymore, although I'm not exactly sure why. Is that normal? And how important is sex in a relationship, if everything else seems to be going fine?

You just have the illusion everything is fine, because if the sex isnt good anymore then it is not fine. You need sex in a relationship. You need to talk to your partner, set ground rules that neither of you will get upset over what the other says, be honest and be BLUNT, if you are then you will both get what you want in the end.

is it possible to reduce the pain of sex before hand, by masterbating?

im a virgin, and very young. i think about sex alot, and the first thing that comes to mind is will it hurt? if so, is it possible to "stretch myself out" to reduce the pain, and possible bleeding?

as for me it feels good but it doesnt painful hurt it hurts in a good way. youll like it i promise but if your young then you should probably wait till your a little older. theres better things to worry about than sex. take it from me im young wit a baby. by masturbating it just gets you ready to have sex.
